4. Customer Responsibilities
- Accurate Information: You are responsible for providing accurate information regarding the move, including a detailed list of items being moved, any items requiring special handling, and any logistical information about access to your home or business.
- Access to Property: Ensure that there is clear access to your property for the moving truck and that there are no obstructions that would prevent safe and easy loading and unloading of your items.
- Packing: While we offer packing services, it is your responsibility to ensure that items packed by you are adequately prepared for transport. Boca Raton Movers is not responsible for damage to improperly packed items.
- Prohibited Items: We do not transport hazardous materials, flammable substances, or illegal items. These include, but are not limited to, chemicals, paints, explosives, weapons, or perishable food.
5. Liability and Damages
- Limitation of Liability: Boca Raton Movers will not be liable for damages that occur due to factors outside of our control, such as inclement weather, road conditions, or accidents. Our liability is limited to the terms outlined in the provided insurance coverage.
- Damage Claims: If any damage occurs to your property during the move, you must notify us in writing within 24 hours after the completion of the move. All claims will be reviewed and handled according to the terms of our insurance policy.
6. Insurance Coverage
We offer basic insurance coverage as part of our services, which covers a limited amount for damages to items during the move. If you require additional coverage, we recommend purchasing full-value protection. Details of insurance options will be provided before the move takes place. For valuable or high-risk items, we advise arranging for separate specialized insurance.
7. Moving Restrictions
- Access and Size Restrictions: We may not be able to access certain areas (e.g., narrow roads, limited parking) depending on the size of the moving truck required. You agree to cooperate with us in arranging alternative access or agreeing on smaller transport options if necessary.
- Extra Fees: Additional fees may apply for long carries, large furniture, or if the moving team has to access areas that are difficult to reach (e.g., stairs, elevators). If your moving conditions change on the day of the move (such as requiring more time or equipment), additional charges may be incurred.
8. Delivery Timelines
We will make every reasonable effort to deliver your belongings on time; however, delivery schedules are not guaranteed and are subject to delays beyond our control (such as weather, traffic, or unforeseen events). We will notify you of any delays as soon as possible.
9. Dispute Resolution
- Mediation: In the event of a dispute, we encourage you to contact our customer service team to resolve the matter. If the dispute cannot be resolved informally, we will attempt to settle the matter through mediation.
- Governing Law: This agreement is governed by the laws of the state of Florida, and any legal action will be conducted in the appropriate Florida court system.
10. Force Majeure
Boca Raton Movers shall not be held liable for delays or failure to perform any part of this Agreement if such delays or failures are caused by events beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, strikes, or government regulations.
